Spring into boldness

Hey Baddies! It’s Patricia Fox, The Pink Sistah, back with some beauty tips for the spring and summer seasons. Typically when we think of spring, we think of pastels and light colors, rain showers and sunflowers. And we will not let any pandemic disrupt our anticipation of summertime fun in the sun!

Here are a few ways to spring right into bold ideas and enchanting glow as summer is fast approaching!

1 Bold Lips!  Whether it’s a vivid pink lip like Fenty’s Unlocked lip paint, or a frosty pink gloss like Baddie by the Lip Bar, a bold color allows your lips to be the focus feature of your laid back makeup look. Lips are one of the most attractive features that can make a bare face look beat with some color or shimmer! Textures of lipsticks, such as mattes and velvets or creams or glosses, can als show more of your personality or complement the time of day.

2 Bold Eyes! A bold colored eye pencil or shadow to complement a minimal makeup routine is a perfect way to add an instant pop to your look without doing too much! Really quick, lets review the best pencil colors for certain eye colors. If your eyes are green, a burgundy wing would really make your eyes pop! If your eyes are brown, blues and purples would emphasize your eyes. If your eyes are blue, a copper or bronze shadow would make your eyes look like the sand meets the bluest ocean.

3 Bold Fabrics! I found bold fabrics for headwraps not only would protect my head, but would also brighten my ensemble! Tropical colors such as teal, coral, fuschia, yellow and orange, or bold patterns were always my go to. Whether you wear your head dress in the classic top knot style, or something more elaborate, you are certain to make heads turn even if you are only wearing a tea and jeans!

4 Bold Scents! Now I know, some smells can be nauseating. Especially for the Baddie whose senses are extremely sensitive due to chemotherapy treatment, or other hormone therapies and new normals. However, fragrances laced with essential oils, botanical notes, or fresh and citrus compounds may remedy this concern. Brands whose initiative in non-toxic products are on the rise! A popular brand named Clean, offers a more pleasant approach to satisfying your scentsations, without aggravating your senses. Philosophy has reigned for years in philanthropy and in addition to their skincare options, offers beautiful hypoallergenic perfumes.

5 Bold Glow! No matter the season or the reason, a glow is always in order! The Crayon Case has shades for every highlight every Baddie! I challenge you to go bold and even use a highlight color that may seem scary. For instance, I love Becca’s Chocolate Geode because it compliments my skin perfectly. However, I also enjoy Anastasia Moonlight Glow Kit offering bold highlight options that would automatically make my blank canvas look enchanting!

I hope you Baddies are ready to spring into boldness and add the beauty of the seasons to come! As always, remember skincare is a part of your beauty routine and offers more flexibility for a minimal makeup routine. Moreover, whether you apply some or all of these ideas, always remember that you are badd regardless!
