Baddie x 2: Growth Through Conversations | Veronica Laurel “Flat Is Just Another Word for Fierce”
To me, being a survivor means living my best life, not taking things for granted, and being present in the moment.
To me, being a survivor means living my best life, not taking things for granted, and being present in the moment.
Being with other survivors filled a void in my life that I didn’t know I had. It was comforting to be with others who have experienced the same thing. I always appreciated my family for their support but they cannot truly understand what it’s like to have cancer.
Living flat wasn’t a choice I thought about when I was diagnosed with cancer. Now I know that it wasn’t only a choice, but it was the right choice for me.
Getting the health care you need after a breast cancer diagnosis shouldn’t break the bank. Here are some financial resources that can help ease the burden of paying for care.
I was practicing self-care. Treating my body well and doing the things that were supposed to be good for me. I never expected to find out that I had breast cancer.
If you are someone who is struggling or has struggled through the pain of breast cancer, then now more than ever, you need to practice self-love and self-care in order to fully heal for yourselves and for those who love you.
When I stop to think of the bright side, I think of my husband, my co-survivor. During active treatment, I was so focused on myself that I didn’t stop to think about how afraid he must be. But I noticed what he did. He took care of me.
Take time for self care. We’ve compiled a list of 10 organizations that can help you take care of yourself and your family – from spa days to outdoor adventure.
Adjusting when it feels like all is taken from you. From being in control to finding peace.
