So, the next time you think that there’s no seat at the table for you, I say you just go in there anyways, flip that table… toss those chairs around, and make everybody set a new table that includes you to start with!
I wanted to talk about it; I wanted to cry about it. I just couldn’t. I felt like a part of me that I never knew existed was taking over my life and I had nowhere and no one to turn to.
I understand why some folks do not want to have genetic testing. It is easier to walk within the unknown rather than to face a fear. However, think about the control and power you have with this information.
Normally, I am pro “do whatever you want with your body,” but for this topic, I’m so biased to my personal opinion that preventative is the answer.
Making such permanent decisions, especially in your twenties, can be overwhelming and scary.
