My FlawSomeness a Poem by ThatGurlT

Oh, how when you first appeared I despised you
You grew wide and upwards
Like a river bifurcation
with pebbles
With streams that branch off
Flowing apart, right and left

Why the cleavage?
Skin trauma
Bumpy
Dry
My irritation
I hid you
I tried to change you
To erase you
Burning Injections I bared
Made you only wider
but a little flatter
Itchy
Pin Needle twinges
Every now & then
Your still here

Acceptance
Now I Embrace you
I no longer hide you
Witch hazel
Essential oils
Soothes
You’re part of my
Shade of Pink…
My Story
My Raised Scar Tissue
My Keloid
My FlawSomeness
My reminder
Of Gods Healing Power

Flaw + Awesomeness = FlawSomeness a great combination of words that has allowed me to embrace my keloid scar as being a part of what I call my Shade of Pink Story.
