There is still this lack of addressing medical history, passing general history, and education from generation to generation. We are still in the early awareness stage in some Asian communities when it comes to women’s health.
She was told there was nothing more to do and to just go home and prepare herself.
How are thrivers, survivors, and previvors navigating their relationships?
If I had sought out support, I would have been better informed about my options, about what to ask the oncologist, about what would help me during treatment. I wouldn’t have felt so ignorant. I wouldn’t have been alone with this new normal.
A blog can be therapeutic in its own right. While I expressed my feelings through the written word, now I can use my spoken word in my journey forward.

I don’t want to be strong every day of my life and guess what it’s ok to not be. I have a village that picks up the days I am feeling weak and just don’t want to be strong anymore.
